It is with great sadness that the family of Reuben Harvey Kurpjuweit announces his passing in Medicine Hat on September 17, 2017 at the age of 89. The Funeral Service to celebrate Reuben’s life will be held today at HILLCREST EVANGELICAL CHURCH, 3785 – 13 Avenue SE, at 1:00 p.m. with Pastor Mark Bolender and Pastor Lance Duncalfe, co-officiating. It is with great sadness and heartbreak that the family of Dorothy Joan Hammel, announce her passing on Tuesday, September 19th, 2017 at the age of 80 years. Dorothy will be greatly missed by her sons, Brian and Darrell; her daughter, Laurie; and her grandson, Kyle. Dorothy is also survived by her sisters, Jean, Barb (John) and Evelyn; brothers, Tom (Arlene) and Neil; sister-in-law, Mary; brothers-in-law, Tim (Irene) and Mark; as well as many nieces, nephews and friends. Dorothy was predeceased by her husband, Simon; her parents, Thomas and Norma Nicoll; her father and mother-in-law, Joseph and Margaret Hammel; her sister, Valerie; sisters-in-law, Ann (Charlie) and Rose (Bill); brothers-in-law, Scotty and Chris; and nephews, Keith, John and Joey. Dorothy's family would like to thank families and friends who cared about her and took the time to call or visit.
