MAIER

Frederick Lawrence Maier passed away on Thursday, July 14, 2016 at the age of 64 years after a long, hard fought battle with cancer. Fred leaves to cherish his memory, his beloved wife Sandy, daughter, Shelly & Pete Swetnam (children, Abby & Sawyer), his son, Jeff & Nancy (children, Rylan, Serenna, Nalisha and Ambria), his son Dean & Aletta (their son, Ethan). Also left to cherish his memory is his father, Alex Giles, brother, Dwayne (Susan) and sister, Marcella as well as mother & father-in-law, Vi & Spud Conte, Don (Terry) Conte, Pam (Brian) Bouman and numerous nieces & nephews. Fred was born on March 13, 1952 and grew up in Redcliff. He owned his own successful company “Fred’s Floor Styles” before switching careers to become a farmer. Fred then changed his career direction, setting his sights on becoming a crop adjuster for AFSC where he worked for 17 years. Apart from his love of being a crop adjuster, he always felt that his greatest achievement was his three children and seven grandchildren. The funeral service will be held in Hillcrest Evangelical Missionary Church (3785 13th Ave SE) on Thursday, July 21, 2016 at 1:30 p.m. with Pastor Steve Pahl officiating.
