1961 ~ BOUCHARD ~ 2015 With sadness we regret the passing of Tamar “Tammy” Bouchard on Saturday, May 16th, 2015 at the age of 53 years. DORVAL Wanda Dorval lost her courageous battle with cancer on May 20th, 2015 at the age of 57. She was the beloved wife and best friend of Rene Dorval of Medicine Hat. She leaves to cherish her memory Cheryl (Darren) Fischer (Sydney, Jaxon); Garett (Sheree) Pilgrim (Samantha, Luke); Ashly (Ryan) Davey (Quinn); her mother, Marlene Selensky; three sisters, Debbie (Les) Emms, Joan (Brent) Baron, Karla (Kurt) Silbernagel; her father-in-law Joseph Dorval; brothers-in-law, Denis (Justine), Guy, Claude, Jules (Cindy); sister-in-law, Doris (Greg) as well as numerous nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her father, Lenard Selensky; her mother-in-law, Marie Dorval; brother-in-law Allain and our dear friend Aunty Dot. Wanda was born in Mankota, Saskatchewan on September 28, 1957. As the oldest of four girls she loved horseback riding, playing ball and being outside. Her banking career started right out of high school and continued over the next 35 years. She prided herself on great customer service and built strong relationships with co-workers and clients. Seldom could you go out in public and not meet a client whose life had not been touched by Wanda. Wanda loved life and lived it to the fullest. Even in her weakest moments she kept a brave face and a positive attitude. She cherished her moments spent with family, friends and especially children. She took pride in her home, enjoyed travelling, entertaining and yelling BINGO on Monday night. Wanda was a dedicated wife, mother, grandmother, sister, aunty and friend. She will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her. Family and friends will gather for prayers in the PATTISON CHAPEL on Friday evening at 7:00 p.m. The funeral mass will be celebrated in Holy Family {softlineParish (1451Strachan Road SE) on Saturday, May 23, 2015 at 1:00 p.m. with Fr. JORDAN, COLLEEN 1969 – 2015

It is with deepest sorrow we announce the passing of our beloved Colleen on Tuesday May 5, 2015. She went peacefully to be with Jesus, at her home in Sundre with her loving family at her side.
Colleen leaves to cherish her memory her devoted and loving husband, William (Bill) Jordan, her loving children Ryan (Karri) Muller and Jordan Muller, her loving parents Fran Lowe and Macky Watt, her half brother David Watt, many aunties, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews, other family and many dear friends. She was predeceased by her grandparents William and Myrtle Evans of Beatty, SK. & John and Signe Watt of Porcupine Plain, SK.
Ann Colleen Watt was born February 27, 1969 in Melfort, SK. At the age of 6 months she moved with her parents to Rocky Mtn House, Ab where she spent her early years, attending school at Lochearn Elementary through grade 8. She entered grade 9 in Vulcan and finished her high school at Senator Gershaw in Bow Island, AB.
Working or playing, Colleen loved all things outdoors; hiking, climbing, exploring, animals of all kinds. She loved her pets and over the years had many of them: dogs of every breed and size, kittens, birds, fish, an iguana, even a big hairy spider found a home with her! Her dogs Sugar and Hudson will miss her greatly.
In 1988 Colleen married Kasper Muller of Bow Island, Ab and together they had two children, Ryan and Jordan. Over the next few years Colleen and her family spent most of their time on the family Dairy Farm. She would be up at the crack of dawn to feed calves and end the day preparing an abundance of food for her family. She truly was a country girl at heart. She loved the freedom of the outdoors and spending time with the animals. However, in 2003 she moved with her family to the big city of Medicine Hat. With her children in high school, she found work at City Signs and later, Vanshaw Casinos. And for a couple of years, she was a very special and second Mom to Brooks. Colleen was easygoing and warm hearted. She was very accepting of everyone who came through the door and thought of everyone before herself.
In 2012 Colleen moved to Sundre, Ab where she married Bill Jordan 2 years later. She found employment there with Tom and Debra King at Maxwell Realty. Here is where her friendly nature shone through. She effortlessly put a smile on everyone's face the moment she came into the room. She still liked the outdoors and being close to the mountains added to her already happy bubbly personality. Even in her last months, Colleen's strength and stubborn attitude came through not wanting to be a burden on anyone. Not that she ever was. Her love for her children is never ending. She was and still is a beautiful woman and will be sadly missed by all who knew her.
Colleen was a precious gift from God and we give her back to Him with thankful hearts for the time we had with her.
A celebration of Colleen's life was held on May 12, 2015 at the Cowboy Church, James River Hall, Sundre, Ab. Her family would like to thank everyone who attended for their support and expressions of love and care. We also thank the following: Tom and Gordon for their kind words at the memorial service, Don, Carol and Debbie for the beautiful music, Fern, Debra and all of the Cowboy Church family for the lovely luncheon, a very special thanks to Jordan who, with Karri's help, made several of her Mom's salads for all of us to enjoy.
Thank you to everyone for your gifts of food, flowers, cards, visits, phone calls, texts, emails and especially for your prayers. Thanks also to those who contributed to either of her memorial funds, the Cowboy Church and Colleen's Memorial (a park bench).
A very special and heartfelt 'Thank You' goes to Drs Rob and Michelle Warren and their nurses, Shaila and Leah for the wonderful 'at home' care and support they provided to Colleen and her family. We can never repay you for that blessing; thank you hardly seems enough. God bless you.

RIDGEWELL Walter Ridgewell of Medicine Hat passed away on Thursday, May 14, 2015, at the age of 94 years, beloved husband of the late Marion Ridgewell. He leaves to cherish his memory three children Walter and Nancy (Christopher, Carly); Jim and Cheryl (Rhiannon, Dylan); Donna and Dave Zora (Alyssa and Ashley); as well as his brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law and numerous nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his wife Marion on December 4, 2012; three brothers, Bill, Jim and George and one sister Winnie Allworth. Walter was born on August 21, 1920 in Narcisse, Manitoba and was raised in the Hodgeville, Saskatchewan area until moving to Medicine Hat. As a young man he worked in the original Medicine Hat Hospital as an orderly. When war came, as did many of his generation he enlisted in the army. His posting was in Canada rather than overseas as he was the youngest of four brothers and the others had already received overseas postings. The art of cooking was a skill he learned in the army and carried that through his life, making army sized pots of soup to share. He had the travel bug early in life, often travelling by train to the coast to see his brothers. His first car was a Rambler and once he had wheels, he travelled to his destinations by car, near and far. He married Marion Jack on August 17, 1960 in Calgary and they made Medicine Hat their home. Walter was a long time employee at the Maple Leaf Mill until its closure in the early 1980's when he retired. Enjoying the outdoors, he spent much time in his garden until a last year when he had to leave his home. A man of simple pleasures, he enjoyed Hockey Night in Canada with his favorite beverage of warm Pilsner. Always the optimist, he purchased lottery tickets faithfully every week since 1971. Walter did not fulfill his lifelong dream of winning the big prize, but not for lack of trying and having a good time at it. His hardworking and loveable nature will be missed. SEITZ Loretta Seitz passed away on Wednesday, May 20, 2015, at the age of 72 years beloved wife of Rod Seitz of Medicine Hat. She also leaves to cherish her memory one son, Kelly (Tracey) Seitz; two grandchildren, Jamie and Mason; one brother Dennis (Bernadette) Rieger; two sisters, Lorraine Stuber and Patty (Stan) Mastel as well as numerous brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her parents Bertha and Lave Rieger, one son Danny, and brother-in-law Jerry Stuber. Loretta was born in Medicine Hat and raised on a farm in the Vale district. She later moved with her family to Medicine Hat. She then met the love of her life, Rod, at the stampede grounds at Elkwater and they were married November 7, 1959. Rod and Loretta lived on the Seitz family farm at Little Plume for a few years where their first son Kelly was born. Soon after they moved to Medicine Hat and their second son Danny was born. Loretta began working at the glass factory and then at Riverside Cleaners. In 1967, Rod and Loretta moved to Swift Current and opened a dry cleaning business. They returned back to their roots and families in Medicine Hat in 1978. From 1978 to 2009, Lorretta worked at the One Hour Cleanatizing in the Crestwood Plaza. Lorretta was a very kind loving person who enjoyed sewing, patch work quilts, crocheting, German cooking, leather craft, reading romance novels, and being members of the Moose. She also loved spending time raising her boys and taking them to and watching their baseball, hockey, and golfing. Later her grandchildren came into her life and she loved having special times with them.
Every summer the family went camping, boating, fishing and water skiing. Lorretta loved soaking up the sun and therefore always had a golden tan. She had great times socializing with friends and her family, dancing to country music, and looked forward to family get togethers for special occasions. Family and friends who wish to pay their respects may do so at the PATTISON FUNERAL HOME on Sunday evening from 6:00 -8:00 p.m. and on Monday from 12:30 – 1:25 p.m. The funeral service will be held in the PATTISON CHAPEL on Monday, May 25, 2015 at 1:30 p.m. with Life Celebrant, David Townsend. VIOLET HANSEN We sadly announce the passing of Violet Sophie Hansen at the Medicine Hat Hospital on April 30, 2015. Violet was born at the old Medicine Hat Hospital on September 12, 1937 during the hottest, driest summer on the prairies. She arrived before expected and her Grandpa Hansen made a rush trip to Medicine Hat in his 1929 Pontiac coupe just in time. This was during the 1930's when people lived off the land. Hundreds of thousands of dollars weren’t required to raise a child then but we grew up healthy just the same. Violet participated in all the activities country kids did then – climbing trees, swimming in the dam, rodeos down behind the barn riding everything from calves to the old milch cow. Our father was a rancher so there were better things to ride! A special outing were the hikes to Lane’s coulee. It would begin with the Hansen kids going to Eberweins and from there we went to Yankes and then on down the coulee to pick berries, roam through the old Lane house and enjoy a day in this beautiful big coulee. Dick Webster owned the coulee then and he never objected to what we did and the farmers were welcome to get sand and gravel when they were building and dried wood for their fires. Eventually bikes began to make their appearance and there’d be trips to Orion to get together with the Ayers and Stevens kids. When you wanted some work done they could disappear pretty quickly on their bikes. Violet’s special pets were white persian cats that we got from Haugans. But if there was a cleanup job that was left for her older sister. Glen Banner one room school closed so Violet and her chum Esther Eberwein took grades one to ten at Orion. Eberweins usually provided the van service. The years went by and they all joined the dancing crowd, the main pastime in those days. In 1953, Violet went to Alexandra High School and lived at the Dormitory in Medicine Hat. After graduation she worked at City Hall in Calgary and was artist for their Newsletter. In 1957 CHAT TV was beginning and she was offered a job as artist but had decided to go to California. An interesting job there was mailing campaign literature for President Nixon who was running for Governor of California at the time. Her last office job was secretary at Conquerville school. Violet had schizophrenia for 57 years and the last 30 years she lived with her sister and husband Ian who never had a cross word with violet all those years, and was the last person to see her as she slipped off to sleep. Her sister was a patient too. Until the last 18 years Violet had friends but Barbara and Marge passed away and from then on it was a very lonely life. Violet liked music and dancing and there was no one to go with anymore and no one to visit with. Her sister occasionally had a family get together with their cousins, Dorothy Nelson and George and Jean Hansen from Bow Island, Joan Gnam from New Westminster, and Betty and Carlyle Ross from St. Albert. Violet enjoyed visiting with them. Some time was filled in with watching TV – Joyce Meyer Ministry, Gaither Gospel Hour, anything with Elvis, Travel and Animals. The last four months she spent at Valleyview where she had people to visit with and she said she liked it there. They also had music and dancing. Every Christmas for 35 years the Hulmes family have remembered Violet who lived with their mother Winnie in the late 70's. The Hessy sisters who were Violet and her parents neighbors in Lethbridge have for 25 years sent cards for all occasions and birthdays. All of this was greatly appreciated. Violet is survived by her sister Margaret and Ian Anderson, two nephews and a niece, Lyle Dragland and Dean and Monique Hansen, and two grand nieces, Carmen Hansen and Montana Blake. She was predeceased by her parents, John and Minnie Hansen, her brother Henry, and Glen, Neil and baby Norine Dragland. There will be no funeral. “I would rather have a little rose from the garden of a friend.
