.1913 ~ KLINCK ~ 2014
It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Pauline Alice Klinck (nee Arden) on June 16th, 2014 at the Good Samaritan Southridge Village in Medicine Hat at the age of 100 years, 6 months. Pauline was always family focused and leaves to cherish her memory her sons, Wallace Klinck of Sherwood Park, AB, Donald Klinck (Diane) of Medicine Hat, Dennis Klinck (Anne) of Fredericton, NB, Robert Klinck of Gatineau, QC, and her daughter-in-law, Nat Klinck (Neil) of Calgary; her brother, George Arden (Frankie) of Olds; grandchildren, Sheri Pister (Warren) of Medicine Hat, Christine Sperling (George) of Calgary, Douglas Klinck (Linda) of Medicine Hat, Mary Klinck (Dave Bancroft) of Carignan, QC, Jennifer Klinck of Ottawa, David Klinck (Carey) of Guang Zhou, China, Matthiew Klinck of Belize; step-grandchildren, Aaron and Christopher Taylor and their families, great-grandchildren, Jenna Vincent of Medicine Hat, Sasha Ivanov of Calgary, Natasha Ivanov of Calgary; nephew, Dale Arden (Sue) of Almonte, ON; and niece, Lynn Arden (Don) of Innisfail, AB. Pauline was predeceased by her husband, Raymond; son, Harvey; grandson, John; great-grandson, Mason; and brother, Frank. Pauline was born in Keeler, SK on December 4th, 1913. She lived in Empress, Jenner, Redcliff, Medicine Hat and Sherwood Park, returning to Medicine Hat in 1997. In addition to being a busy mother of five boys, she delighted in playing her piano and took pride in her secretarial skills. Her years in the Department of Educational Administration office at the University of Alberta, Edmonton, were the highlight of her career. Her retirement years were centered around family and friends. She is a former resident of Chinook Village in Medicine Hat and moved to the Good Samaritan in early 2013. Pauline was a vivacious, feisty, and loving lady. She will be sadly missed by all who knew her. A Celebration of Pauline’s Life will be held in BETHEL LUTHERAN CHURCH, 298 Bethel Drive, Sherwood Park, Alberta on Wednesday, July 2nd, 2014 from 2:00 to 4:00 p.m. Memorial gifts in Pauline’s memory may be made to the Alberta Children’s Hospital Foundation, 2888 Shaganappi Trail NW, Calgary, Alberta, T3B 6A8. .BOSCHEE (nee: Berger)
Frances Boschee of Medicine Hat, passed away on Monday, June 16, 2014, at the age of 83 years, beloved wife of the late Joseph Boschee. She leaves to cherish her memory three children, Karen (David) Taylor, Kendra (Marcel) LaRocque, Paula (Mike) Mastel-Vallely (and their children Maddison and Emily); one step-daughter, Snookie (Jeff) Welling and their daughters, Joelle Welling and Stephanie Meloney and their families; one brother, Frank (Vienna) Berger; two sisters, Rose Peters and Mary Spears, as well as numerous nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by Joseph August 18, 1992; two brothers Martin and George; one sister Ann and one son-in-law Dan Toews. Fran was born in Sceptre, Saskatchewan on October 17, 1930. For many years she worked as a seamstress and may have done some alterations for you when she worked at the Petite and Cinderella Stores. She eventually opened her own clothing store “Frans Kloset” in the Southview Mall, where she could indulge in her fashion sense. Fran enjoyed singing along to country music, and was still thrilled about seeing “Elvis” live in Las Vegas. Throughout the years she made many cherished friendships, and enjoyed the company of family and friends, especially her grandchildren as well as socializing with the ladies at Chinook Village. The funeral mass will be celebrated in the Holy Family Parish (1451 Strachan Road SE) on Friday, June 20, 2014 at 11:00 a.m. with Fr. Philip Le celebrant. 1975 ~ 2014
With his loving family by his side, Brian David Rieger passed away at the Medicine Hat Regional Hospital on Saturday, June 14, 2014, at the age of 38 years. Brian was born on September 2, 1975 in Medicine Hat and was raised on the family farm northeast of the city. He had many passions in life including farming, hockey, 4H and spending quality time with his family. His fondest memories were of combining with his son, Brody and cuddling with his daughter, Georgia – his lil’ calving buddies will miss him deeply. Brian will be remembered in the hearts of his wife, Jennifer; twin children, Brody and Georgia; parents, Bruce and Donna Rieger; grandparents, Edwin and Violet Rieger and Robert and Joyce Strachan; a sister, Heather (Rick) Bach and their family, Madison, Shelby and Kailey. He is also survived by Jennifer’s family including her parents, Bernie and Wendy Kemick; brother’s, Justin and Kevin (Monique) and their son, Josh; grandma, Lillian Crocker as well as numerous aunts, uncles, cousins and extended family of both Brian and Jennifer. Gertrude Hale of Medicine Hat, passed away on Wednesday, April 30, 2014, at the age of 88 years. Gertrude was born on the family farm at Abbey, Saskatchewan, April 13, 1926, daughter of Esther Miller Sharpe and Harry Fairbairn Sharpe. Gertrude was blessed to have had three good husbands/dance partners in her life, each of whom predeceased her: John B. Minor, Earl Roger, and Herb Hale. She was also predeceased by her sons, John H. Minor and Ross Minor; grandson, Marty Minor. Gertie is survived by her children Barry Minor and Susan Minor Hill (Byron); step children, Janet Roger Milne (Don), Gordon Roger (Jackie), Noel Hale, Roger Hale (Cheryl), David Hale, Nancy Hale, and Dorothy Hale Conne (Denis) as well as many grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces and nephews. Gertie loved to dance and will be remembered and missed as an honest, energetic, determined, hardworking, independent lady by all who knew and loved her. Family would like to acknowledge the compassion and care provided by the Stroke Unit Staff of the Foothills Hospital in Calgary and the wonderful staff that took such good care of her at the Medicine Hat Hospital. The funeral service will be held in the PATTISON CHAPEL on Saturday, June 21, 2014 at 1:00 p.m. Interment will follow in the Hillside Cemetery.
