.1923 ~ JANGULA ~ 2014
Mary Jangula, beloved wife of the late Peter Jangula of Medicine Hat, passed away on Thursday, May 22nd, 2014 at the age of 91 years. Mary leaves to cherish her memory three sons; Larry (Jeanette) Jangula of Courtney B.C., Jim Jangula of Medicine Hat, Joe (Jenelle) Jangula of Empress, one daughter; Brenda (Billie) Dauphinee of Kitimat B.C; eleven grandchildren; Angie Friesen (Rob Shakespeare), Todd Jangula, Craig Jangula, Nicole (Larry) Pawluk, Tanya (Travis) Reesor, Christopher Jangula, Lee Jangula (Leslie Aspland), Crystal (Earl) Fraser, Dawn Marie Dauphinee (Ron Pierre), Peter Dauphinee and Heather Dawn Jangula (Tyler Jessries), five great grandchildren; Justin Esterbrooks, Jennie Esterbrooks, Spencer Pawluk, Parker Fraser and Griffin Reesor; numerous nieces and nephews as well as all her adopted family that she graciously welcomed not only into her heart but to her home as she opened it up to everyone. Mary was preceded in death by her husband; Peter Jangula, one son; Jerome Jangula two daughter-in-laws; Virgina Jangula and Karen Jangula as well as two brothers and eight sisters. Mary was born March 7th, 1923 on the family farm near Liebenthal Saskatchewan. She was raised and educated in Medham area. On October 23rd, 1946 she married Peter and in 1952 they moved to a dairy farm north of Medicine Hat where the present Co-op is situated. In 1955 they relocated to a farm eight miles north of Empress and retired in 1977 to Medicine Hat. During her retirement Mary enjoyed gardening with Peter crocheting and playing cards. Those wishing to pay their respects may do so Monday May 26th, 2014 from 1:00- 4:00 p.m. and from 6:00- 9:00 p.m. at SAAMIS MEMORIAL CHAPEL, #1 Dunmore Rd SE Medicine Hat or on Tuesday from 12:00- 12:45 p.m. at HOLY FAMILY PARISH, 1451 Strachan Rd SE. The Vigil Rites (Prayers) will be held in SAAMIS MEMORIAL CHAPEL, #1 Dunmore Rd SE Medicine Hat on Monday May 26th, 2014, at 7:00 p.m. The funeral service will be held at HOLY FAMILY PARISH, 1451 Strachan Rd SE on Tuesday May 27th, 2014 at 1:00pm with Father Matthew Emmelkamp officiating. Interment will follow in the Family Plot at Hillside Cemetery. Gerald Wayne Campbell, beloved husband of Claudette Campbell of Medicine Hat, passed away on Wednesday, May 21st, 2014 at the age of 67 years. Gerald also leaves to cherish his memory four siblings, Cheryl (Richard) Reynolds, Bryon (Mariann) Campbell, Darrell (Shirley) Campbell and Darlene (Glenn) Cunliff; nieces and nephews, Deveril Fast, Shelly Fast, Jeff Campbell, Brad Campbell, Shannon Campbell, Clayton Campbell, and Bobby-Jane Lester; numerous great nieces and nephews; and special friends, Budd (Anne) Holmans, Betty Wedge, Phil (Sandra) Crawford, and the Suffield gang. Gerald was predeceased by his parents, Harold and Sarah Campbell. Family shared some of their thoughts of a loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister & friend before a video tribute filled with pictures of precious memories was played. Celebrant Getz added his personal touch to the service, ensuring that the celebration was just what Ethel would have wanted! Following a short farewell at Hillside Cemetery, the fellowship continued with family & friends sharing their memories along with much laughter and many tears.

It is with sadness that family of Paul Mark Hannah, beloved husband of the late Mrs. Katherine Hannah, announce his passing in Medicine Hat on Wednesday, May 21, 2014, at the age of 82 years. Those wishing to pay their respects will have the opportunity to do so one hour prior to the Prayer Service and one hour prior to the Funeral Mass. .SCHLENKER
It is with heavy hearts the family of Emil Schlenker announce his passing into eternal life on May 22, 2014 at the age of 91 years. He was the cherished husband of Jo and the loving father of Willa and her husband Walter Posnikoff. Emil was the last of ten children born to Katerina and Emanuel Schlenker and the last living member of the original family. He was born and raised on the family farm near Walsh, Alberta. He was predeceased by six brothers and three sisters and their spouses. He is survived by many nieces and nephews. Emil served in the Canadian Navy during WWII and was in the Battle of the Atlantic during which time he crossed the Atlantic Ocean 15 times on the Glacé Bay. Upon returning to Medicine Hat he married Jo Steele on July 13, 1946. They moved to Red Deer for him to continue his education and when they returned to Medicine Hat, Dad ran Marben Auto service until his retirement in 1991. He received the Platinum Award for volunteerism from the City of Medicine Hat. Jo and Emil spent many years teaching Square Dancing, Round Dancing, Ballroom Dancing, and clogging and developed many long lasting friendships through this. He loved horses and he and Willa participated in many Stampede parades together. He also loved cars and kept every one he had in immaculate condition. Recently, he and Jo were members of the bridge club at the Veiner Centre which they enjoyed immensely. He was always a true gentleman and set a great example for all of us to follow. Emil’s health began to fail him over the last while and he accepted all his struggles with dignity and grace. We loved him greatly and will miss him dearly. Rest in peace true and loyal servant. Gordon James Vaughan passed away on Friday, May 23, 2014, at the age of 88 years, beloved husband of Roberta “Bobbie” Vaughan. He also leaves to cherish his memory his son, Grant (Mary Lynne) Vaughan of Medicine Hat; two grandchildren, Jeremy Vaughan of Calgary and Tyrell (Jenna) Vaughan of Medicine Hat; his great granddaughter, Brynn and one sister, Olive (Peter) Evans of Cranbrook, B.C.; Jean’s sisters, Leona (Basil) Leismeister, Minnie (Emanuel) Houff and Violet Houff as well as numerous nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his parents, Rose and Charlie Vaughan and his first wife, Jean Vaughan on May 10, 1983; mother and father-in-law, Olga and Otto Sieppert; his brother-in-law, John Houff and sister-in-law, Arylene (Alfred) Schimpf.
