.HEIDINGER
Ralph William Heidinger of Medicine Hat passed away on Wednesday, March 19, 2014, at the age of 89 years. He leaves to cherish his memory his nephews, Les (Delores) Seitz, Terry (Barb) Schlinker, and also Marg Seitz, wife of the late Bruce Seitz. He was predeceased by his parents, Dora and James Heidinger, his brother, George and his sisters, Clara (David) Seitz, Frieda (John) Schlinker, Alice Heidinger and Lillian in infancy. After completing high school in Medicine Hat, Ralph attended Normal School and afterwards began his teaching career in a number of smaller communities. Eventually he made the move to teaching in some of the elementary schools in Medicine Hat. Over a number of years, by attending summer schools under the auspices of the University of Lethbridge, he achieved his Bachelor of Education Degree. After nineteen years of teaching, he retired from that profession and went on to work in a variety of jobs in Calgary and Medicine Hat. Finally, Ralph spent time on the family farm and eventually moved to Chinook Village in Medicine Hat with his brother George and sister Alice. There were always interesting stories about his teaching travels and his concerns regarding current events. Ralph read news reports, magazines, health reports and listened intently to television news and documentaries. He was an interesting man to interact with whenever one engaged him during visits and always looked for the humorous side of things when possible. Ralph exhibited a caring heart. Because of his strong faith in God, he was supportive of numerous Christian ministries and humanitarian/medical organizations throughout his life. We will miss him! Family and friends who wish to pay their respects may do so at the PATTISON FUNERAL HOME on Sunday, from 6:00 – 8:00 p.m. and on Monday from 9:00 a.m.- 1:55 p.m. The funeral service will be held in the PATTISON CHAPEL on Monday, March 24, 2014 at 2:00 p.m. with Rev. Clare Rattai and Rev. George Brandt officiating. Interment will follow in the Hillside Cemetery. .JOHNSON, Patricia “Paddy”
Patricia “Paddy” Johnson of Medicine Hat, beloved wife of Gordon Johnson, passed away on Monday, March 17th, 2014 at the age of 58 years. Paddy leaves to cherish her memory her children, Ciara (Justin) Feko of Medicine Hat, Kayla Johnson of Calgary and Nathan Johnson of Medicine Hat; and her dearest granddaughters, Andee and Sara Feko; her sister, Terry (Tom) Hannan and their daughters, Jodi (Don) Emma and Jace, Christy (Cody) Shayna, William and Wyatt; Paddy’s large extended family, and many life-long friends. She was predeceased by her parents, Jane and James Cantwell. Paddy was born December 22nd, 1955 raised in Medicine Hat, graduating from McCoy High School.
Paddy was accomplished at whatever she put her mind to, from arts and crafts to several successful home businesses. She bestowed her entrepreneurial spirit to her granddaughters, helping them with their projects. She was always very organized and the person you called when something was needed. Her latest passion was with beads, crafting dazzling jewellery for the Medalta Market. Paddy had a wonderful sense of humour and lit up the room with her vibrant presence.
Paddy’s greatest love was for her husband, Gordie, with whom she shared 28 years of marriage. They were not just husband and wife, but the deepest of friends.

Adam F. Nadem passed away unexpectedly on Wednesday, March 19, 2014 at the age of 35 years. Alma Necker of Medicine Hat, passed away on Tuesday, March 18, 2014, at the age of 88 years. She leaves to cherish her memory her brother Arnold Necker of Medicine Hat as well as many cousins. She was predeceased by her parents, Ida and Rudolf Necker and one sister Irma (Ewald) Degen. The family would like to thank the long-term care staff at Masterpiece River Ridge for their wonderful care of Alma. ANNA MARIA (RIA) TIMMERMANS, of Medicine Hat, AB, passed away on Tuesday, March 18, 2014 at the age of 93 years.
She leaves 4 children to cherish her memory; Annette Hoetmer of Holland, Rian Middleton of Medicine Hat, Bert Timmermans of Victoria and Adrian Timmermans of High River. She was the beloved Oma of 12 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren. She was predeceased by her husband Adrian Timmermans and her son John Timmermans.
