.HAUCK, Lyle Albert
August 29, 1951- August 3, 2013
It is with great sadness and broken hearts that we announce the passing of a beloved husband, wonderful father, son, brother, loyal friend, and proud grandpa. Lyle passed away peacefully in his sleep on August 3, 2013 at his home in Strathmore, Alberta. Lyle was born in Medicine Hat on August 29, 1951, son of Albert and Lonnie Hauck. Lyle was employed with ENCANA for 27 years, and was always so proud to say he worked with them. Lyle is survived by his wife Wanda Watson; sons Cole (Tracy) Hauck and family, Kirk (Tammy) Hauck; daughter Stacey Hauck (Heath Dixon); mother Lonnie Hauck; sister Faye (Kevin) Day; Wanda’s children Steven (Val) Bogstie and family, Stacey (Tom) Fraser and family; and sister in-law Joy (Russ) Austin. He is also survived by Sherry Hauck, numerous nieces and nephews, and his two beloved dogs, Jessie and Laya, who are ever faithfully waiting at the window for him to come home. Lyle was always so graciously thankful for all his blessings in life, most of all family and friends. We feel this quote describes him best:
“Happiness cannot be traveled to, owned, earned, or worn. It is the spiritual experience of living every minute with love, grace & gratitutde.” ~ Denis Waitley.
A Celebration of Lyle’s Life will be held on Monday, August 12, 2013 at Strathmore United Church (410 – 4th Street) at 2:00 p.m with lunch to follow. Interment at Strathmore Cemetery. If desired, donations in Lyle’s memory may be made directly to STARS (Box 570, 1441 Aviation Park NE, Calgary T2E 8M7), or the Alberta SPCA (10806 – 124 St, Edmonton, AB, T5M 0H3). .This past Tuesday, family and friends gathered at Fifth Avenue Memorial United Church to say good bye and pay their respects to a lady of dignity and love… Violet Grace Lee. The video tribute gave a brief insight into her life while the family paid special tribute to a mother and a friend to all. In Chinese tradition, an envelope with a candy and a coin was presented to everyone upon leaving as a keepsake and in memory of Violet.
Feed not your loneliness on empty days,
But fill each waking hour in useful ways.
Reach out your hand in comfort and cheer
Live on in each other & I will hold you near.
Her Life Lived…
Her Life Cherished…
Her Life Honoured.
