Man dead after collision Friday night near Suffield

A man who was seriously injured while walking on a highway near Suffield has died in hospital, authorities announced on Monday.

Redcliff RCMP say that late on the evening of Friday, Dec. 8, the man in his late 20s was struck by a vehicle while he was walking on Highway No. 884 when he was hit by a vehilce at about 11:30 p.m. He was transported to hospital via ambulance.

A release on Monday morning from the RCMP states that the man has died as a result of the injuries.

Police are currently concluding their investigation into this collision, and no charges will be laid at this time.

The name of the deceased will not be released.
