Downtown Art Walk tonight

Get your comfy shoes on, the first Downtown Medicine Hat Art Walk of the year goes tonight.

The popular downtown event offers people a chance to explore a variety of locations in the city core that are known for their art and artists. Featured locations this time around are the Esplanade, the Medicine Hat Public Library, Framing & Art Centre, The Clay Trade, Inspire Studio, Gallery and Cafe, Cactus Clay Pottery and Retro Relics, FWBA Architects, The Hive and The Blue Lotus.

Live music, snacks and refreshments and other activities will also be part of the evening.

If you can’t make it to the one art walks are also scheduled for July 13 and Sept. 28.

The opening receptions for the Esplaande’s newest exhibitions, Alberta & the Group of Seven and Jude Griebel Ground-Figure: Sculpture 2013-2018, will also take place tonight at 7 p.m.

The exhibitions officially open on Saturday and run until July 14
