Get ready for a Hatter holiday homecoming in December.

Terri Clark, who grew up and honed her musical talents in Medicine Hat before achieving country music stardom on both sides of the border, is on the CP Holiday Train that will stop in the city on Dec. 17.

The train, loaded with Clark, Dallas Smith and Kelly Prescott, will be in its familiar spot at the Medicine Hat railyard from 5-5:30 p.m.

Two Holiday Trains will begin their treks in late November from Quebec and make their way west, stopping in communities in Canada and the U.S. along the way, raising money for local food banks.

“The Holiday Train program is all about local food banks and food shelves and the critical role they play in our communities,” said Keith Creel, CP’s president and chief executive officer. “People come for the beautifully-lit train and stay for the incredible show — all in the name of community.”
