Ticked Off and Tickled Pink Feb. 13

By Ticked Off - Tickled Pink on February 13, 2018.

Ticked Pink

For all the people who shop local, and appreciate the small businesses in our great city. Recognizing the dedication that a small family-run business will give you better customer service in the long run.

Ticked Off

At renters who constantly break the rules and landlords who let them.

Tickled Pink

That I put in an honest, hard-working day and get rewarded by being paid. I appreciate my boss more than she’ll ever know just because she took a chance on me.

Tickled Pink

Our premier has held her cool with a few boys that don’t play well in the sandbox.

Ticked Off

Looks like smoking pot will be the cool thing to do come summer, with the blessing of the federal government. All that hard work to educate us on a healthy lifestyle down the drain.

Ticked Off

Every genuine, qualified wildlife expert on this planet will confirm it is a bad idea to feed and attract deer and other species to urban environments. Sadly, dozens of local “experts” think they know better and continue this foolish practice.

Tickled Pink

On “Jeopardy!” on Jan. 31 Medicine Hat was one of the answers.

Ticked Off

At the News editorial that doesn’t seem to understand that Imperial measurement is not what is used in the U.S. An Imperial gallon is not the same as a U.S. gallon. So if Canada went back to Imperial measurement, it would still not have the same measurements as the U.S.

Ticked Off

Council has no problem in borrowing for infrastructure development for Box Springs, this private helter-skelter business park. But, this same council hid behind the skirt of the court to avoid involvement in the lift station for River Ridge residents.

Ticked Off

That a coffee shop owned by an international chain has suddenly decided to stop providing newspapers for its customers to enjoy. Other coffee shops will benefit.

Tickled Pink

By Trump and his bag man’s transparent attempt to side-track the FBI investigation into his collusion with Russia. It, in and of itself, is an example of obstruction of justice. More lies to add to his long list. Is lying another Christian value?

Ticked Off

At myself. I was driving straight through an intersection and a young woman in a blue car looked right at me and pulled out in front of my car, so I honked at her. Half a block later, I realized I’d been driving with my right turn signal on, so of course she thought I would turn. I am sorry!

Ticked Off

The irony of “recyclers” thinking they are recycling. You need to understand where the recycling is going before you can understand that you are creating more problems. It is OK to live in your illusion but do not judge others while remaining ignorant.

Ticked Off

With people complaining about the lights. Most of the side roads are activated by cars and people so how do you get the lights to work together?

Tickled Pink

By the kindness of the gentleman who paid for a bus ticket and gave a young man he didn’t know $20 to help him get back to Lethbridge. I hope it comes back to him 10-fold.

Ticked Off

I hope our city fathers have the same courage as their counterparts in Taber and reject any notion of a rainbow crosswalk or flying a rainbow flag. To do this would be totally unacceptable to the majority of citizens in Medicine Hat.

Ticked Off

Whoever thinks our present provincial and federal governments have finally got their heads out of the sand had better open their eyes and see what is actually going on.

Ticked Off

Your parents are getting old. Quit acting like big babies and stop expecting them to wait on you hand and foot.

Ticked Off

At the high cost of rents in Medicine Hat and landlords gouging tenants for maintenance that should have been conducted in the first place like furnace replacement and cold windows and then basically raising the rents to have tenants pay for maintenance.

Tickled Pink

At the generosity of our neighbours in our time of need. We can never thank them enough! Hopefully they will know who they are.

Tickled Pink

With a local coffee shop that made my decision easy to switch coffee shops by not having the Medicine Hat News for its patrons.
