Ticked Off and Tickled Pink Feb. 8

By Ticked Off - Tickled Pink on February 8, 2018.

Ticked Off

At the people residing near the trail by the tower on Redcliff Way who let their two dogs run free — prohibited in that area — and leave their feces all over. Bylaws apply to all, you must leash and clean!

Ticked Off

At a condo manager for not doing anything about the ice on the sidewalk and parking lot.

Tickled Pink

Medicine Hat could learn a lot from Vancouver on recycling. I walk dogs down alleys and week after week see overflowing bins with cardboard sticking out, instead of taking it down to the recycling location.

Tickled Pink

We can openly thank the Good Lord that we have an awesome school board that strongly stands up for what we believe in.

Tickled Pink

That we have the stats of the sports section and the weather details; the only two sections of the paper that are not 100 per cent partisan.

Tickled Pink

A mattress, which we’d purchased from Sears, was replaced today, under warranty! Don’t give up on your warranties! If they were registered with the manufacturer or distributor, you might be OK.

Tickled Pink

That the Town of Taber has adopted the right flag policy. I hope Medicine Hat and others have the same good judgment.

Tickled Pink

That the receptionist at a doctor’s office has to ask why we are there when the waiting room is full of people. I thought we established the reason when the appointment was booked.

Ticked Off

That of the nearly $128 charge for natural gas on our last month’s utility bill, less than $45 was for the actual commodity. Pretty soon the city will have all of the additional charges so high they won’t even have to charge for the commodity anymore.

Tickled Pink

Hats off to the people of Quebec for standing up and protecting their culture. Other provinces should do the same.

Tickled Pink

If something could be done with the poorly placed Chamber of Commerce sign atop Redcliff hill. In such a windy area, the sign creates a swirling winds issue that really affects smaller vehicles. Big safety hazard while travelling into Medicine Hat.

Ticked Off

At all the jaywalkers in this city. A pedestrian is a person in a crosswalk, a jaywalker is a person in the middle of the street.

Ticked Off

All you bicycle riders, the law states that you must walk your bike across the crosswalk not ride it.

Talk about Jaywalkers in the city. You should see the amount of adults who allow their kids to jaywalk across the 300 block of 4th St. SE in Redcliff to get to I.F. Cox school. You also get vehicles coming in the opposite direction who stop and let them do it. Do all these idiots not realise that they are setting their kids up, as one day someone WILL not stop and the kid will get creamed. I’ve got an idea to all you useless parents. Teach your kids to cross the road correctly and in the proper place. If you do not know where that is, it is at each junction that has a crosswalk (whether marked or not), and make them waddle a little bit further!!!!
