Ticked Off and Tickled Pink Oct. 5

By Ticked Off - Tickled Pink on October 5, 2017.

Ticked Off

We are so afraid of offending someone that we keep silent and say nothing at all. Apathy at its extreme.

Ticked Off

With the complaints of minimum wage rising. Maybe if the oil/gas wages were not so high our gas pump/taxes wouldn’t be skyrocketing.

Ticked Off

At folks who refuse to understand when owners pay themselves, they owe the same tax everyone else does. Billions have left our economy, already. Wake up.

Ticked Off

That after giving up EI and pension benefits, weekends, the 44-hour workweek, overtime pay, job protection and security, business owners get vilified.

Tickled Pink

The archaeological findings at Elkwater is definite proof that the current Indigenous people were not the first inhabitants of North America.

Ticked Off

I voluntarily gave up my driver’s licence one year ago because of my age and decided I could ride the city bus and was doing quite nicely getting to doctor visits and church. Now I can’t do any of my normal things on the bus, especially my Sunday rides to church. The taxi companies are laughing all the way to the bank.

Tickled Pink

That Special Transit exists for those who can’t walk 20 minutes or at all.

Tickled Pink

That council accepted grants from higher levels of government and used that money as the grants directed them.

Tickled Pink

We have a PM that people want to have a picture with. Not an old stuffie who shakes his young kids’ hands on their first day of school. Is it his fault his last name has left many voters with a sour taste in mouth? He is not his father.

Tickled Pink

To the person who found my wallet at Walmart, and put it in at customer service, many thanks for your honesty, and may God bless you.

Ticked Off

That council is sitting and making decisions during the campaign. First, most go into panic mode and flip flop on transit, now the winds have shifted and one councillor for sure is still in panic mode and wants to flip flop again and is even talking about diping into city reserves.

Tickled Pink

One recent Saturday my husband and I ate at a local restaurant for lunch. When we were done the waitress said our meals had been paid for. This had been paid by a complete stranger. Our meals were not the cheap kind. We feel lost at not being able to say thank you to this wonderful person.
