Ticked Off and Tickled Pink Sept. 12

By Ticked Off - Tickled Pink on September 12, 2017.

Ticked Off

With the bicycle thief who recently stole my wage-earner and means of transportation. Happy trails!

Ticked Off

The media keeps reporting any shutdowns in refineries or problems of supply — expect gas to go up. Why don’t they report there is still a glut of oil in the world and the price of gas should be reflected in the real price of oil. Why does the media not print the truth?

Ticked Off

The speed limit in Medicine Hat back alleys is 20 km/h. Why do people speed in the alleys, making dust, when they could drive on pavement?

Ticked Off

At the commercials they have for gays and lesbians. I don’t need to see it on fast food commercials. That’s just not right.

Ticked Off

Is it just me or is it getting to be a real long construction time on South Railway Street near the Assiniboia? They started April 1, so it’s been five months now. Shouldn’t it be top priority?

Tickled Pink

That the city has cut back all the overgrowth of trees and shrubs along the city trails. It’s dangerous to not have a clear line of sight on the trails, especially for women walking alone.

Ticked Off

My water bill was $69 but only $12.49 of it was for water. The rest of it was for various charges — five different charges. People have to start looking at their bills.

Ticked Off

How many of the 3,000 surveyed never ride the buses, or are under 55? I bet there are not many seniors in the survey.

Ticked Off

At the mayor and council. If your schedules are too hectic to ride the transit for a week, how about the people in our city who can’t afford a car and need the transit system to get from job A to job B and maybe job C. I rank the mayor and council with an F grade.

Ticked Off

How can you give Omar Khadr $10 million and then not give him freedom to move around Canada?

Ticked Off

With the new transit system in place, I get no weekend or evening service on the route where I live. Backwards thinking.

Ticked Off

It’s about time. People in neighbouring provinces are being fined hundreds of dollars for discarding cigarettes out of car windows. Why aren’t we doing that in Alberta? We’re dry here, too.

Ticked Off

That the city decided to raise the speed limit on Parkview Drive.

Ticked Off

At the guy who said people walked everywhere 70 years ago. Of course they did. You could walk from one side of the city to the other in 10 minutes. If you live up by Co-op in Crescent Heights and have to go to Home Depot, you’re looking at two or three hours at least. Get real!

Ticked Off

Instead of criticizing those of us who are unable to walk, be grateful. I had polio 80 years ago and unless you’ve walked in our shoes, don’t be ignorant.

Ticked Off

Because of the Notley NDP tax and spend ideology, booze is now cheaper in B.C. than in Alberta.

Ticked Off

Trudeau and Notley are getting away with murder in Canada and Alberta because of the media’s obsession with Trump in the U.S.

Tickled Pink

Finally, another candidate for mayor. I can’t wait for election time.

Ticked Off

With the dirty bleachers at the memorial roping event. Too bad they couldn’t have hosed off some of the bleachers. There wasn’t a clean seat in the place. Tickled pink though that we didn’t have to pay to watch the roping events.

Tickled Pink

My health is good. I live with a man who treats me well and with respect. I have enough money. My garden is beautiful. Life is good.

Ticked Off

At people who don’t realize you do not have to wear a hard hat if there is no hazard to the head. Do some homework before you beak off.

Tickled Pink

That the city received capital money for the transit system, not operational money.

Ticked Off

With all the green grass in the desert! Pouring water on the coulees contributes to sloughing and ground movement. Wasting water to pump up your weak egos?

Ticked Off

At conservative politicians who still push the discredited policies of austerity and working class voters who don’t realize how much their families and businesses really rely on tax-funded services.
