Taxpayers be prepared. The company running the Canalta Centre is going to lose more money and your councillors are going to say they are doing a great job.
That beer and gas are cheaper in Maple Creek than in Medicine Hat thanks to our NDP government and their out of control spending and policies.
That council is getting rid of the bus routes that very few people use, focusing on routes with heavy usage and saving all taxpayers money. Transit is not a taxi service.
With our provincial government. At least they spend our money on the people. Not the leaders’ pockets as PCs have done in this province.
That a certain college is not putting more money towards the athletics department.
Medicine Hat is a grant city, causing taxes to skyrocket. Consider that viable organizations supported by their members don’t need to go begging to city council. Think about this at the next election.
Happy to see Ross Glen Drive repaved and the wows taken out. Good use of our tax dollars.
That we don’t have a wider choice of candidates running for civic office. Same old people, same old policies.
I don’t understand why the Alberta taxpayer is on the hook for an office renovation that could cost as much as $50K for a former UCP member since it was his decision to sit as an independent.
At the transit changes. They should have bought smaller buses. They would be a lot cheaper to run and the drivers would still have their jobs.
To see the councillors ride the buses for a year instead of sitting on their golden chairs.
With those coupon books that come out every year. All the good ones are in Lethbridge and the chintzy ones are in Medicine Hat.
Transit changes are bad. Fees should be lowered. I think it will cost me my job.
At the online poll that said 73 people said they weren’t planning to buy a Kinsmen home lotto ticket. The tickets go to help a lot of free things for the kids and I think it’s a crime that only 27 per cent said they would buy one.
With Telus coverage of the Stampede parade. I can’t get out and wanted to see the actual parade.
With those people who think they should be the only person on a 48-seat bus with their own driver. Try walking.
The News should have had a picture of the eclipse itself, not a picture of people staring at the sky.
To go to the Cars and Guitars but ticked off at the sound mixer. Same as last year. If they don’t get a different mixer, I can’t buy any more tickets.
Tired of Medicine Hat not having an association for the elderly to go when they’re being bullied, harassed and picked on, and broken into. Nobody cares.
With a couple of local comedians who were foul-mouthed and not at all funny. I would have left except I wanted to see the headliner.
Small birds are disappearing because crows are ravaging their nests. Crows nests in the city should be removed so they don’t return to them next year.
I am prejudiced and a bigot but let’s stop the ridiculous flood of refugees crossing our border.
At a couple of guys on the radio in the morning. Keep up with the good humour. We need that in these troubled times.
Seventy years ago there was no bus service in the Hat and most people walked everywhere and were much healthier. Try it. You’ll like it.
It would be much less costly to taxpayers if the city subsidized taxi fares instead of driving empty buses around.
Why have we allowed the unions to make bus service a sacred cow?
They’ll use any excuse to raise gas prices.
With Jason Kenney and his Trump-style politics. He thinks he is entitled to his party’s leadership because of his experience with the Taxpayers Association. He claims to be able to end taxation. Can he end death as well?
