Ticked Off and Tickled Pink Aug. 29

By Ticked Off - Tickled Pink on August 29, 2017.

Ticked Off

With the person who took garbage out of a little shopping cart in the Walmart parking lot on the morning of Aug. 20 and threw it on the ground. And shame on the shopper who left it there.

Tickled Pink

With our newspaper carrier who delivers the paper in Ross Glen very early in the day. I really appreciate an early paper.

Ticked Off

That an MLA is buying a condo on our dime and he/we all know real estate usually increases.

Ticked Off

Will the city street sweepers please remember to put signs down before just randomly street sweeping neighbourhoods? Not everyone has a driveway so their cars can be out of the way. Heads up next time would be nice.

Tickled Pink

That the Wildrose clan will continue to consort with the alt-right media, showing their true colours.

Tickled Pink

By the efforts of the city administration to reduce the costs of the public transit system. I am an occasional user of the bus system (I have a car) and I pay property taxes through the assessments on my house and on my business. We, as taxpayers, will always subsidize the public transit system, for the benefit of low income individuals and those who cannot drive. To see the costs studied and routes reorganized shows good fiscal management and is encouraging.

Tickled Pink

That my husband and I took the time to watch the recent eclipse. We felt excitement and bonding over sharing such a rare event. It was fun to see our neighbours out, too. We saw a variety of methods — pinhole box, binoculars and iphones. The older technologies worked better. It was so interesting to see the overall light dim and feel the drop in temperature.
