This is a good year, as far as mosquitoes and sand lies go. I’ve been able to enjoy my yard quite a bit, without being bothered by bugs. It must be the unusually hot weather. Yay for hot weather!
Downtown is turning into one massive social agency area. The various associations to help the needy are taking over the retail space downtown and squeezing out the businesses. There are more and more disreputable looking people wandering about.
I enjoy the fine arts displays and other non-commercial aspects of the Stampede. We have some phenomenal local artists.
At all the lazy bicyclists in the city who keep riding in the crosswalks and don’t walk the bicycles like the traffic laws state they should.
If Drew Barnes thinks UCP is fiscally responsible? Jason Kenney spent how much on his campaign? If that was his personal money do you think he would have spent over a million on it?
After taking my son to the petting zoo at the Stampede grounds, I was really disturbed at the lack of water a lot of the animals had access to. Is it really that hard to have someone monitoring that more regularly?
To have found out beforehand that I can’t move to Redcliff and keep my three dogs. There are many better places to go to without discarding a beloved family member.
With the recent open house at a private club downtown.
So happy the Stampede brought in the Skyhawks to open each day. They were thrilling to watch and a great way to kick off a Stampede day.
The artwork showing at the Stampede was outstanding. It is wonderful to have so much talent on display for everyone to enjoy.
The mayor was present at the (very early) opening of the pickleball tournament. He was able to see first-hand how popular the sport is and how fast it is growing, and how we need more courts!
What I wonderful life I have had. If only I had realized it sooner.
The new government building in town had new grass put in last year and it has never been watered or cut and is a mess of dead grass and weeds.
If Canada’s free trade agreement would include the ability to trade our imbecilic prime minister for their arrogant, egotistical president.
Bylaw shouldn’t just check the back alleys; they should check back yards to see the six-foot weeds and smelly water.
At the person who said government should add a $5 surcharge to fight forest fires. They believe that lightning started most of these fires, so don’t be so quick to blame it on smokers.
That there are many corporations which make money off wars, but ticked off that propaganda divides people and promotes hate.
Rural electrical bills are getting outrageous. Consumer costs $17; delivery charges $50. I’ll vote for any political party who has the kahunas to take back control of our power before we end up like Ontario.
Kudos to two young people at the mall who got me a cup of tea and two cookies when I got too tired from standing in line. It was much appreciated.
At the Stampede’s three night shows. But I was surprised and shocked that one of the performances lasted for only one hour. We didn’t get our money’s worth on that one.
Saskatchewan Roughriders are a football team. Medicine Hat rough riders are anyone driving over Finlay Bridge. A $10.5 million repair job? The city should have more competent staff checking the job before they make out the cheque.
I cannot reiterate enough how much of a photo radar cash cow is Parkview Drive by the Medicine Hat Golf and Country Club. It should be 60 km/h.
Because it’s now a serious crime to defend yourself against a police service dog that is attempting to kill you.
