Ticked Off and Tickled Pink June 8

Ticked Off

Just got a photo radar ticket in the mail. Taking my mom up to the golf club for Mother’s Day Brunch 9:30 Sunday morning on Parkview Drive. Going 58 km/h is a ticket on a hill that should be 60 km/h. Thanks for ruining our day so the city can fill the cash cow.

Ticked Off

My OAS went up by $5 a month and my property taxes went up over $17 a month. I thought the increase was supposed to be 4.5 per cent. Mine is up about 9.5 per cent and I talked to someone else that lives in a condo and theirs also went up by about 9.5 per cent.

Ticked Off

Regarding the pet directory insert in the News and the the writer saying the neighbour’s dog is extremely well trained if all it does it bark when in the backyard. Wrong! I have to whisper when sitting on my deck because the two yappy dogs across the alley do nothing but bark. And the owners do nothing about it.

Ticked Off

Mayor and town council figure a bunch of idiots tearing up our beautiful outdoors will attract businesses into town. Actually they’re driving long time residents out of town.

Tickled Pink

To hear two representatives from both Wildrose and NDP were involved with changing the electoral boundaries.

Ticked Off

With the Redcliff drivers who drive right by my big yellow school when it has the red lights flashing and the stop sign out! Don’t you know this indicates there are children there and may need to cross the road. It is illegal (STOP means STOP) and can result in a fine up to $2,000.

Tickled Pink

If someone could explain to me how moving fire station across river will help River Flats area if bridges are closed?

Ticked Off

With comments made on social media of any kind. Remember these people that represent us have young/old families that might read your thoughts at that moment. Next time before pressing the send button would you say that to your family or have an unknown person say it about you?

Ticked Off

I would like the Wildrose and PCs to explain what they mean by tough decisions before I vote for them.

Could the person who’s ticked about the relocation of the fire hall across the river because they’re worried about getting service in the River Flats area if the bridges are closed, please explain to everyone where the residents of Riverside and Crescent Heights are supposed to get fire service right NOW if the bridges close? Give your head a shake — the station on Dunmore Road is just a couple of minutes away from River Flats; moving the station on Maple Ave across the river will serve a greater good than having 2 stations on the same side of the river that are mere minutes away from each other.
