Ticked Off and Tickled Pink Jan. 3

By Ticked Off - Tickled Pink on January 3, 2017.

Ticked Off

To the person who wants to build a wall at the Saskatchewan border. Good idea, then all the people who live here and work over there will be unemployed too. Also, that would keep those Saskatchewan people from coming here to spend their money.

Tickled Pink

That Cavendish Farms is opening a plant in Lethbridge, such a forward-thinking city. Medicine Hat could learn a thing or two from them.

Ticked Off

With drivers in Medicine Hat. I drive about 6 or 7 a.m. and a good portion of drivers don’t put their headlights on. They just use their daytime running lights, but when only those are on, their rear lights don’t work.

Ticked Off

The province is pushing natural gas and backing off oil. The city is pushing oil and selling off natural gas fields. Does anyone in charge really have a clue? Dumb and dumber!

Ticked Off

Doctor visit. Two minutes. Easy money.

Ticked Off

If the city’s looking to cut costs, they should look at that greenhouse by the parks department. It just sucks heat all winter long and there’s not much in it. Those flowers could be contracted out and they could save a lot of money.

Ticked Off

A radio station can sure ruin a song by playing it several times a day, every day.

Ticked Off

At the extra costs for another bin. I am paying $20.93 for solid waste and put out one 15-pound garbage bag once a month. I recycle everything that is recyclable at the bins at the mall.

Tickled Pink

Kudos to Integra Air for their Santa Claus North Pole run. I saw the kids get off the plane and they were just so excited. Congratulations to the company for this selfless act.

Ticked Off

Call me old school, but I still like the old-fashioned shovelling snow. Not those noisy blowers that wake people up early.

Ticked Off

To the person or persons who came on my property two days before Christmas and stole my snowman. I work for a living and you are just a thief. Shame on you.

Ticked Off

That the city has paid a private local investment/economic development firm to bring in new industry business. Instead, this city remains stagnant, with only new restaurants and coffee shops. Where are those much-needed industries?

Ticked Off

By the condescending lectures a councillor feels compelled to give to other councillors at almost every council meeting.

Ticked Off

By a recent letter to the editor harshly criticizing one of the council members relating to public private partnerships for city facilities. While I have a great deal of respect for the writer I feel it was completely unjustified.

Ticked Off

With the opposition saying let’s waste more money by asking for a referendum on the carbon tax. While we are at it let’s ask if the people of Alberta want to pay property taxes.
