Special Olympics Alberta holds a Polar Plunge in Edmonton, Calgary, Lethbridge and this past weekend held one in Medicine Hat. About 80 people did some “freezin’ for a reason” contributing over $12,000 toward the Summer Games to be held July 7-9.
We want to thank Joshua Argue and his planning committee and all of those who were courageous enough to take part. The Fire Life Saving Unit, the Medicine Hat Police Services, Medicine Hat School District 76 personnel and all others who took up the challenge. Thank you from all of us.
The weather didn’t cooperate but the excitement of helping those less fortunate than they made all the plungers get out and take part. As well hundreds came out to watch, donate and be a part of the excitement. That is why Medicine Hat is a great place in which to live — we are all ready to volunteer and help others!
Thanks to all! We appreciate it.
