People with service dogs aren’t represented well enough by MLAs

By Letter to the Editor on March 14, 2017.

Think about this for a minute: Have you ever heard any member of any of the opposition parties question the minister on the service dog situation?

The only reason I am going up to Edmonton is to question government MLAs and keep the issue alive.

The only reason I am sleeping on the side of the highway in my vehicle is to get to Edmonton with very limited funds and keep the issue alive.

The real reason I am going up to Edmonton is because not one member from the opposition side of the house will ask the minister a question about service dogs.

In less than three weeks the regulations for The Service Dogs Act expire and they say absolutely nothing.

Think about that one for a minute and ask, “Are they really doing their job representing anyone with or in need of a service dog?” I think not.
